Optional Software Support
- Software support: $93.75 for updates and support for 1 month. Due in
advance. Note that monthly support will change to
$108.50 beginning November 1, 2012. See note below if you do not now
have support and you want to get updates and support for at least one month.
- Includes an average number of telephone support calls as well as email and
fax support. The average number of support calls is calculated over a number
of months for all customers. If you call more than the "average", you
will receive a 30 day notice of a change in your monthly support fee.

- An 800 number is provided to pre-paid software support clients (only):
- If we have your credit card information on file, you authorize automatic
pay.
- If you require any files or data and you cannot download them, we can provide
them on CD for about $2.00 (plus tax in CA). Although this may sound ridiculous,
if you are in California and you receive a CD or anything 'tangible' the state
of California rules are interpreted by our auditor to cause the software support
to be taxable for that month. (?) That's right! If you receive (and pay tax
on) a $2 CD disk shipment you will be taxed on the $93.75 support fee for that
month (note support fee change 11/1/2012 to $108.50). (don't ask us to make any sense of this) They link the two unrelated
charges (to raise more taxes for their mis-management of your taxes) If you download
or receive files by email attachment or you are not in California, this does
not apply to you. We advise you to get email and a high speed Internet connection.
- Software maintenance does not include updates or upgrades to the software.
For example, if you now have the dos version there is a charge to update to
the windows version. To upgrade from the DOS version to the Windows version,
you must have active support.
- If you are not now subscribing to software support, there is a minimum startup
of 1 month or $93.75 plus $500.00 and then if you continue, we will automatically
charge your account $93.75 per month (note support fee change 11/1/2012 to $108.50) if that is what you want. If you have had
support and let it lapse, we require a minimum payment for $593.75 to re-activate your support
(this will change to $608.50 11/1/2012).
If you subscribe to support
- You will have software maintenance fixes to the software available at least
quarterly, more often as necessary. Mailed software is no longer available.
You must download.
- You may get any necessary software fixes by Internet download any time, day
or night at no additional charge.
- Certain special software maintenance fixes may be emailed to you if you can
accept files that way.
Training by telephone, at Stratford's classroom, and on-site.
- Included in purchase price (on-site usually has additional charges and may
not be available)
- Advanced and additional training available by appointment (always at
additional charge)
- $295 minimum charge for telephone training - maximum 5 hours (this is our
standard training and may be the only training that is available to you)

Credit card payments accepted by Visa or Mastercard. Auto-payment recommended.
Paypal payments accepted - you may use American Express, Discover, eCheck and most
popular cards if you have a paypal account. We have 'Google checkout' approved now
and we may activate a web page if we get client requests.

Internet World Wide Web server.
- At this time we may help a licensed Stratford user setup a "home page" at
no charge on our WWW server.
- In general, it is for providers and organizations who provide medical services
to patients.
- It is for billing services that use Stratford exclusively (and their customers).
- This is NOT really part of the service and it may be eliminated at any time,
without notice.
- Applications for a home page are subject to acceptance by Stratford, of course.
- Home pages on Stratford's server must meet the requirements in effect at any
given time.
- We reserve the right to change the requirements at any time.
- We do not charge for, or guarantee, access to our server to anyone.
- If this service is successful and utilized by our customers, we have several
things planned such as:
- system features, report design (such as managed care reports)
- automatic 'hot-fix' downloading
- supply ordering
- email for our users and dealers
Data conversions from other software.
Healthcare billing training.
We do not offer training for healthcare billing. We depend on our clients to
know how to do their billing.
