Are you interested in decreasing your costs while at the same time increasing your collections. Who isn't?
My service, Tokay Medical Billing, was founded with that purpose in mind. I had been billing for over twenty years in Stockton and Lodi physicians' offices and knew the costs associated with in-house billing.
The costs include employees' salaries, taxes, benefits, vacations, sick leave, training, and turnover. Also the cost of the computer hardware, software, support, and upgrades along with postage, claim forms, patient statements, telephone long-distance charges, and billing seminars have to be included. Please take a moment to think about your practice's overall cost of billing.
My service charges only 7% of what is collected. You don't pay for the initial set-up or any of the above. You will receive a monthly bill for my services only after you have been paid.
The second claim that I made was that my service would be able to increase your collections. First I bill all insurance carriers that are set-up to receive electronic claims directly through my computer system. This reduces the turn-around time on your claims to fourteen days for Medicare, ten days for Medi-Cal, and proportional decreases for private carriers.
Unfortunately, though, medical billing today is no longer "submit a claim and get paid." Follow-up is the only way to insure that you get maximum reimbursement. Also I am well aware of the differences in billing HMO's, PPO's, IPA's, and capitated services. I have working relationships with individuals within all of the major insurance carriers whom I can contact to speed and troubleshoot the processing of claims. I also vigorously pursue secondary insurance carriers after the first insurance has paid. Finally if a patient has responsibility after all insurance has paid, then statements are sent.
Please contact me. I would be happy to meet with you personally
to discuss this further.
