Our product is 100% proprietary. The company started in 1977 as a billing service for physicians and dentists in Northern California and grew by supplying 'provider-side' software to Medicare contractors as well as direct sales. When EDS took over the California and New England Medicare contracts in the mid-1990's Stratford signed a contract with EDS to supply software. We have nearly 6,000 licensed users as of 2007. EDS is licensed to distribute our software; we do not count their installations.

Stratford has a single fully integrated software product including accounts receivable, EDI as well as paper claims, eHealthcare medical records, scheduling, etc. We design, develop and maintain our software in-house. Our client support is in-house as well as by Medicare contractors and others. Stratford is one of two (as far as we know) companies that has EDI software approved by Delta Dental. At this time we support ANSI v5010 A1.
