EDS may distribute the software directly or through any of its companies including National Heritage Insurance Company (NHIC). NHIC is the Medicare contractor for Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine and, previously, California. NHIC also processes electronic claims for other Medicare contractors. NHIC also processes Medicaid claims for Texas and has other claims processing contracts.
